Case Format – ICC 2026 (IIM Raipur)
Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished teaching cases addressing the broad theme of “Contemporary Business Practices in Emerging Markets and Beyond”, along with related tracks. Submissions must follow the below guidelines:
Eligibility & Tracks
Submissions are invited from faculty members, researchers, industry professionals, and MBA/PGP students.
Special categories include:
- Full Cases (with Teaching Note): Faculty, researchers, and practitioners.
- Mini Cases (1,000–1,500 words): MBA/PGP student authors (faculty co-authorship encouraged).
- Industry/Policy Cases: Submitted jointly by industry professionals, policymakers, and academics.
Case Document
- Length:
- Full Cases: 4,000–7,000 words (excluding exhibits and references).
- Mini Cases: 1,000–1,500 words.
- Format: MS Word (doc/docx), Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing.
- Structure:
- Case Title
- Abstract (200–300 words)
- Keywords (3–5)
- Case Body (with sections/sub-sections as appropriate)
- Exhibits (tables, figures, charts, appendices as needed)
- References (APA style)
Teaching Note (Mandatory for Full Cases)
- Abstract and learning objectives.
- Target audience (PG, UG, executive education).
- Suggested teaching strategy and session plan.
- Discussion questions.
- Suggested readings and references.
Guidelines for PhD Participants
PhD participants may submit Simplified Teaching Notes of 1–2 pages, considering academic timelines and workload.
The Simplified Teaching Notes should cover the following key elements:
- Case synopsis/Summary
- Learning Objectives
- Assignment questions and suggestive answer
- Structure and flow of the case discussion
Review Process
- All cases will undergo double-blind peer review by an academic/industry review panel.
- Feedback will be provided for revisions prior to acceptance.
- Accepted case abstract synopses will be included in the Conference Proceedings (ISBN).
Publication Opportunities
- Selected top cases may be considered for publication in Emerald Emerging Markets Case Studies (EMCS) or any other renowned case publishers’ special issues.
- Best Case Awards (1st, 2nd, 3rd) will be announced at the conference.
